To compliment the existing range of home improvements offered, Coastline also offers a state of the art solar water heating system developed by Powertech Solar Ltd using ‘Apricus’ solar collectors.

The solar collectors consist of a number of glass, evacuated tubes mounted on a stainless steel frame which can be adapted to most roof surfaces. The solar collectors are much more efficient at harnessing solar energy  (92%) than the usual flat collectors as the cylindrical shape of each tube, ensures that they are always facing the sun and will ensure stable heat output from mid morning to mid afternoon allowing significant energy savings to be made quickly. A desk top example can be seen in the Coastline showroom.

The collectors are attractive and the perfect choice for domestic and commercial applications offering an efficient and reliable source of free, clean solar energy. Tax incentives are also available for some businesses purchasing the system. 

In the majority of cases the existing hot water cylinder may be used and as installation will usually be completed in just one day, disruption will be minimal. Most hot water systems will be able to be adapted to benefit from the system and savings of up to 50% during the year can be achieved.
